Last Day of Clinic
So today was my last day of clinic. It feels SO WONDERFUL. I saw a class 1b, which I wanted. So I got four more quads done. That puts me at an A so I feel really good about that. I feel like I've learned a lot this semester and learned how to get faster at the things I do know. Looking back I really have progressed and it feels great. There is nothing else to say.

All The Way Done
So today I cleaned 3 quads of a Class 2 and 1 quad of a Class 3. YEAH!!! I've done 60 quads and I have two more clinic sessions. So I'll be able to clean 65+ quads. YEAH!!! The good news is still coming...I finished all my PE's today. Today is just a great day. I love days like today because they are few are far between. I'm getting more confidence in scaling and doing things efficiently. I'm glad that these feelings have finally come at the end of the semester, because I thought they never would. My goal for the end of the semester is to clean 65+ quads. I have 2 quads of a 2 and 5 and 5 quads of a 1B so I'm sure that I'll be able to do it.

Class #
So I finished my class 3 today. It feels good to have that out of the way. It was fun to see chuncks of calculus come off the teeth. I even showed my pt one of the chuncks of calculus. It was heavily stained so it was easy for her to teeth. She thought it was a seed but I explained to her that it was calculus that I scaled off her teeth. It was fun to see her reaction, even though I don't think she completely believed me. I mean, this lady thinks her teeth are perfectly fine and healthy so I would do a lot to convince her anyway. All three of my next appointment I'm seeing my class 2's. My goal is to get them all done in one appt. I should because all their OD's are done except one and that's partially done. So hopefully everthing goes well. But for now it looks like I'll meet all my requirements. YEAH!

I am so sick of No Shows
Today I had a patient no show. I've had three of these already this semester. I am so sick of them. I even called her when she was 10 minutes late and she said she would be right there. NOPE. So luckily I saw a 13 year old 1b. I'm glad I got her in my chair even though I don't need that classification at all. Hopefully I get lucky in the future. I'm getting really worried though because we only have about 7 more clinic sessions and I need to find 6 more quads of a class 2 to clean. It's basically impossible to find and clean them with that much time left. I'm so discouraged. What do I do?

Wow
So I had a class 5 today and I was expecting her to be similar to a class 1B. She wasn't. It was actually quite a bit harder. I was surprised. I passed off two PE's today. I think I have six more to pass off so I'm sitting good there. I've made it a goal to pass off 2 Pe's everyday. That way if I'm not able to pass off any for some reason I'm planning ahead. I also did my other 1B exam today. It went well I think. It took me 50 minutes to scale but overall I think it went very well. I'm really in need of class 2's. I don't have any coming and I need 10 quads. I hope it all works out. It must becasue it does for everyone.

FRUSTRATING
So today my pt FAILED me hard core. I called her yesterday at 3:00 and she said she could come in. However, this morning she didn't come and I called her 3 times and she didnt' answer. It makes me so mad because the semester is nearing an end and every day is so crucial. I just want to bawl on days like this. Luckily my husband cam in and I took a full mouth series on him so that was the only positive thing of the day.

What a Day
Today I got a lot done. My patient from the library came back - YEAH!. I was able to FM scale, do the explorer PE, do a sealant, and the air powder polish and Sealant PE. It felt great to get so much done in one day. I knew I would have a lot of time with her so I wanted to utilize my time the best I could. I got a little bit flustered trying to do that much in one day, but it all worked out in the end. I just need to remember to think through things before I do them and always make the next experience better.
